Chronically curious and unsatisfied with status quo. I'm dedicated to challenging power and privilege in/with design.

Hi, I'm Joanne Li / 李亚君, settler on the land of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples, continuously (un)learning how I relate to and take up space.

Currently the Head of UX at the Canada School of Public Service driving learning product strategy and managing design and research teams.  Previously, leading agile design research in cross-disciplinary teams to improve government products, services, and programs.

Outside of work, you can find me supporting program development at Ignite the Warmth, facilitating community workshops, dabbling in multimedia art, and fermenting something I shouldn't be.

Talk to me about intersectional design, your facilitation needs, and what's keeping you curious.
